World Cyber Games 2011

The World Cyber Games 2011 is taking place in Korea. The stream started roughly at 11 pm for the whole world to tune in.

This major esports tournament features teams and players from all over the world. Contestants from from our native americas, to even the far outreaches of Norway—all to represent their homeland!

The first game on the main stage is Warcraft III, which people have said the scene was dead. Apparently, those people were wrong because more than 8000 people have tuned in to watch the spectacle. Although the matches having the world’s best human, orc, undead, and elf players just might be the factor but consider the how old this game is and it becomes a pretty amazing feat.

The most popular game will probably be League of Legends. The scene really is blowing up with major cash prizes becoming even larger with corporate sponsors. The 12000 viewership speaks for itself.

League of Legends gets a nine tailed fox

The next champion to be added will finally be Ahri, the nine tailed fox champion announced a month ago!

This will be Riot’s second champion based off a legend. For Ahri’s case it’d be her korean counterpart Gumiho.

Ahri is going to be an assassin type because of Riot wanting her gameplay to “revolve around mobility and managing position to aim her spells.”

With her damage output being magical, her kit will also focus on her seductiveness. I’m thinking one of her spells will be a “charm” that will disable an opponent in a seduced state.

Her ultimate skill is said to be highly mobile and with that, I’m definitely going to be excited to pick her up.

The King of Fighters XIII – Mai Kara Cancel

Mai can cancel her crouching heavy kicks into specials. I’m not sure if this is even any good for the KOF engine. Hopefully someone can find a good use for it other then perhaps a better whiff punishing poke.
